8th July 2021
The Government has confirmed that no Covishield vaccines have been administered in the UK and that all AstraZeneca vaccines given in the UK appear on the NHS COVID Pass as Vaxzevria. The NHS COVID Pass is the digital version of individuals’ proof of COVID-19 vaccine status, which has been available for international travel since May. The European Medicines Agency has authorised this vaccine and the Government is confident that travel will not be affected. The EU Digital Covid-19 Certificate is currently for EU citizens only, or third country nationals legally staying or resident in the EU.
For any enquiries about COVID vaccination certification, we are unable to issue these at the practice.
Proof of your vaccination status will be available on the NHSapp, which is also valuable for accessing your health records and ordering repeat prescriptions. Alternatively if you already have Patient Access this information is available there too.
The NHSapp can be downloaded from;
Alternatively you can call the NHS helpline on 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine; the letter may take up to 5 days to reach you.
Covid-19 Vaccination Update
Updated: 4th June 2021
We would like you all to know that Saturday 5th June will be our last COVID vaccine clinic at Buckingham Community Centre. By the end of Saturday we will have given almost 20,000 vaccines and our teams now need to return to the day job.
We have said it many times but we really would not have been able to run these clinics without the help of all of our wonderful volunteers and Rotary Club of Buckingham
and we are very proud of our achievements. – THANK YOU
As from Monday 7th June Jardines pharmacy will be taking over this site and continuing delivery of COVID vaccines for the local population.
The National Booking Service is now the only route for you to book your COVID vaccination and they have very much improved their online experience and local clinics are becoming more available.
It is far better for you to book your appointment online rather than calling 119. The National Booking Service is linked to your vaccine history therefore will offer you the correct vaccine for your age.
